Perming Accessories

Perming Tools & Accessories

Completing a perm can be hard work. It takes hours of time and dedication to achieve the perfectly chemically curled hair.

If done correctly, the curls can last for more than 6 months, or until they grow out. Perms were very common back in the 80s and 90s, recent trends have seen them coming back into fashion.

As a hairdresser, you would have gone nearly a decade without conducting a perm, but that's all about to change. Firstly, you need the right products to get started. Firstly, you will need a neutraliser, solution and a detox shampoo for scalp care, additionally, you need perming tools to see the look through to completion.

Define Your Curls With Perming Tools

To see the perm process through to competition, you will need some accessories. While neutralisers and the other chemicals are important, the smaller tools are what give the final results.

The thickness of the rods is what helps to determine the curl. Some of the rods are up to 40mm in thickness, offering larger curls. There are better suited to those looking for more of a loose curls, which will further drop as the months go by. Flat pins, setting pins and 28mm are your smaller option. They are carefully used to construct tight-fitting curls.

While rods are great at helping to get the job done, there are some other accessories that should be added to your kit. Consider cotton wool, perming foam and a neck tray. If you're unsure of which rods are best suited to your client, give our friendly staff a call and we'll be happy to assist.
