Oily Skin Products: What Are They?
Oily skin products are ones used for people who suffer from excess oils on the skin. High levels of sebum are often overproduced in those with oily skin, so blocked pores and added shine are a common problem. Oils on the face can be easily identified if you have shine commonly on your forehead, nose, chin and cheeks. Normal or combination skin will only have it around their t-zone. Dry skin will notice flaking in certain areas and their skin will feel a little tighter. We'd recommend only using these types of products if you do suffer from oily skin as there can be side effects if used incorrectly.
Who Should Oily Skin Products?
Only people with oily skin should be using these items. The reason for this is because the added ingredients are targeted to heavily remove dirt, grime, sebum, sweat and oils. If you have dry skin, you'll be removing some of the protective layers, which may lead to further drying or cracking. It won't be as harsh on normal skin but may see areas become dryer if you suffer from combination skin. Furthermore, developing a good skincare routine will give the best results.
Good Skin Routine Using Oily Skin Products
Firstly, to maintain good skin, you'll need to find a routine that suits you. We'd recommend by starting off by exfoliating around 3 times a week. Additionally, you'll need to cleanse twice a day. Once in the evening removes the dirt build-up of the day, while the morning cleanses will remove the sweat accumulated in the pores overnight. Preventing clogged pores is key for the best skincare routine for oily skin.
