Halo extensions are an easy one-step method that will achieve longer and thicker hair within minutes. If you are new to hair extensions, we recommend using Halo extensions.

Any type of hair can be worn with halo extensions but if you are someone with short hair that has been cut bluntly, it can sometimes be difficult to blend in the halo therefore an experienced hairdresser may need to create some layers to allow seamless blending.

How to Apply Halo Hair Extensions

To apply halo extensions, it is best to section your hair into a small bun by tracing your fingers from the top-middle part of your head and following the natural curve of your skull. We recommend the mid-level of your hair because it conceals the band nicely. The band will keep in place until you are then ready to take it out. Some people pin it in for extra security. However, you'll be fine without doing so.

The extension is just one long piece of hair, so you'll only need to put it in once. Gently place the halo on your head and clip in the clips on the mesh to secure them to your head. Let down the section previously made and thoroughly but gently brush out your hair to blend in the halo.

Make sure you use a tail comb to help pull through any trapped hairs around the wire to have the perfect blend.

Restyle any pieces of hair that have kinked from being sectioned or if you see any bits that need better blending, restyle those pieces of hair. Remember to always use heat protectant spray when using heated tools!
