Collection: Blonde Hair Extensions

Blonde Hair Extensions

Blonde is beautiful, but it is also a full-time job. Sunlight fades it. Hard water stains it. Heat styling oxidises it. And blonde extensions show every shift in tone faster than your natural hair ever could. One sunny afternoon, your cool, icy lengths can look warm and brassy.

This collection is built for blondes who want their extensions to stay bright, cool, and fresh for as long as possible. From Hey Stacey clip-ins, tape-ins, and wefts in a range of blonde shades, to what you need to keep brass from crashing the party.

Find Your Blonde

The blonde range runs from bright platinum to warm golden, so there is a match for most blonde looks.

  • Ava is the brightest, a clean platinum that suits the lightest bleached blondes.

  • Joslin is the warmest, light brown blended into golden blonde, dimensional in any light.

  • Aria, Aubrey, Ivy, Piper, and Samantha sit between the two, each with a light platinum-blonde base softly interwoven with sandy tones for a natural, blended finish.

Available across clip-in, tape, and weft, in 16", 20", and 24" lengths depending on the shade.

The Blonde Extensions Routine

Extensions don't get the natural oils your scalp provides, so they dry out faster and need gentler, more moisturising care than your own hair. Keep every product off the bonds, tapes, and clips.

Wash with purple shampoo for blonde hair. Use lukewarm water and let it flow downward. Because extensions absorb pigment faster than natural hair, keep the purple shampoo brief or dilute it, and follow with moisture. Apply blonde conditioner to mid-lengths and ends, away from the bonds. Rinse thoroughly.

Deep condition weekly. Once a week, swap your conditioner for a blonde mask and leave it on for 5 to 10 minutes to restore moisture.

Heat protect before styling. Apply a heat protectant before using heat tools and keep settings low to medium. Finish with a drop or two of lightweight oil on the ends for shine, keeping it off the bonds.

Tips for Keeping Blonde Extensions Bright

  • Wash less often. Extensions have no scalp to replenish their oils, so 2 to 3 times a week is plenty. Over-washing dries them out.

  • Use a sulphate-free, colour-safe shampoo. Sulphates strip extensions faster than natural hair.

  • To tone clip-in extensions safely, use a toning bath. Add a few drops of purple shampoo to lukewarm water, mix well, and swirl the wefts through, rather than applying it neat.

  • Test purple shampoo on one weft first, since extensions take on pigment faster and can over-tone.

  • Rinse with cool water after washing. It seals the cuticle and locks in moisture.

  • Use a shower filter to remove minerals that turn blonde brassy.

  • Avoid chlorine and salt water. Wet hair with fresh water before swimming and apply a leave-in conditioner as a barrier. Rinse immediately after.

  • Store clip-in extensions in a silk or satin bag to prevent tangling and discolouration.

  • Rotate between purple shampoo and a gentle, colour-safe shampoo. Overusing purple products can dull the hair.

  • If you over-tone and your hair looks purple, wash with a clarifying shampoo a few times, then follow with a deep conditioner.

Your Questions Answered

Blonde extensions are more porous than natural hair, so they absorb minerals from hard water, oils from your scalp, and pigments from styling products. Sunlight and heat styling also pull warm tones to the surface. The purple shampoo, cool-water rinse, and shower filter covered above are what keep the brass at bay.

You left the purple shampoo on too long. Extensions are more porous than natural hair and absorb pigment faster. To fix it, use the clarifying-shampoo method from the tips above, then follow with a deep conditioner. Next time, leave purple shampoo on for no more than 3 to 5 minutes, or dilute it with water for a subtler tone.

You can, but take precautions. Chlorine and salt water dry the hair out and can turn blonde green or brassy. Follow the pre-swim steps in the tips above, wetting with fresh water, applying a leave-in barrier, and rinsing straight after. If you swim often, a swim cap helps too.
