Collection: Products for Blondes
Blonde Hair Products
You leave the salon with a clean, cool blonde. Three or four washes later it has turned yellow, and the ends feel like straw. Lightening opens up the hair's outer layer, so hard water, sun and heat styling pull warm tones through fast, and the same open, porous hair loses moisture with every wash. A regular shampoo doesn't deal with either problem. Blonde hair products do both. Toning pigments cancel the brass, and repair and moisture ingredients keep lightened hair strong and soft. This range brings every blonde shampoo, conditioner, mask and treatment we stock into one place, so you can build the whole routine at once.
Find the Right Products for Your Blonde
Platinum, icy or heavily bleached blonde. Yellow shows up fastest on the lightest hair, so it needs strong violet toners, often labelled 'No Yellow'. This hair has been lifted the most, so add a leave-in repair treatment to protect it between washes.
Highlights and balayage. You only need to tone the light pieces. A medium-strength toning shampoo keeps highlights cool without dulling the darker base.
Dark blonde or lifted brunette that turns orange. Purple won't fix orange. You need blue pigment, usually labelled 'No Orange' or 'Brass Off'.
Natural blonde that has never been bleached. It needs a light touch, because strong toners can leave it flat or grey. A gentle gloss or toning shampoo once a week is plenty. Toning drops you mix into your conditioner let you control the strength.
Grey, silver or white hair. It picks up yellow the same way blonde does. Silver shampoos and conditioners are made to brighten it without leaving a purple tint.
Build Your Blonde Routine
Tone when you wash. Use a purple shampoo for blonde hair once or twice a week. On the other days, switch to an everyday shampoo so pigment doesn't build up.
Condition to hold the tone. A blonde conditioner keeps toning between shampoos and puts back the moisture lightening strips out.
Mask once a week. A blonde hair mask tones deeper than shampoo and treats dry, fragile lengths at the same time.
Protect before heat. Hot tools push blonde warmer and weaken lightened hair, so use a heat protectant every time you style.
If your blonde has gone too purple or dull, one or two washes with a clarifying shampoo will bring it back. If your hair snaps or stretches when wet, the problem is damage, not tone. Our products for damaged hair and guide to caring for bleached hair cover the repair side.
Why Salon Blonde Care Makes a Difference
Professional blonde products use stronger, better-quality pigments that cancel brass evenly instead of leaving a purple cast. They are made with richer conditioning bases, because lightened hair is always thirstier than untouched hair. That means you tone and condition in one step, and your blonde stays brighter for longer between salon visits.
AMR stocks salon blonde care from leading professional brands, in home sizes and salon sizes, all shipped Australia-wide as part of our wider hair care products range. Salon toners that you mix with developer are in Hair Toners.
