AMR offers hair peroxide to trade professionals to assist with their colouring services. Hydrogen peroxide is often used lighten hair and is considered to be a permanent dye. There are a number of different brands who offer peroxides to mix with their colours and bleach. While most products can be mixed with varied brands, some do require you to use a specific line. Peroxide comes in a number of different strengths, which AMR provides.
There are a number of different strengths of developers. Our lowest strength is 3.5 vol, which helps to activate the colour. This low-level strength means that very minimal damage will be caused to the hair of the client. The higher the level of developer, the stronger the formula. However, the longer you leave it on, the more likely it will cause damage. It’s recommended that peroxides should only be used by professionals. 40 vol is the highest level of peroxide offered by AMR. You can also purchase products in 5,10 and 20 vol. It’s important to use other products to prevent hair damage when using bleach and peroxide.
When offering colour services, it’s important to use quality products to preserve your client’s hair. When working with a new client, try to understand their colour history. This will help you to understand the product you’ll need to use on their hair. Furthermore, it’s important to feel the quality of your client’s hair. Know the colour they want to achieve and the timeframe they expect it. Many customers hope to go blonde instantly and compromise their hairs quality. Offering additional services to these clients such as specialised nourishing treatments or hair reconstructors will help eliminate damage from using hair peroxide.
