Collection: Green Hair Colour

Green Hair Colour & Dyes

Green is fresh and unexpected, and from electric lime to soft mint it turns heads. It is also one of the harder colours to pull off. The wrong shade can look muddy, fading can leave behind yellow or blue tones, and the result depends heavily on your starting shade. This collection brings together semi-permanent green dyes that deposit colour without the damage caused by permanent dyes, giving salon professionals and home colourists reliable, predictable results.

How Green Shows Up on Different Hair

The final colour depends on your starting shade.

  • On light blonde or pre-lightened hair. Green appears bright and true to the tube. Electric Lime and Clover Green read exactly as they look in the bottle.

  • On medium blonde or light brown hair. Green shows as a tint rather than a solid colour, and you will see the sheen most in sunlight. A deeper shade like Green Apple holds better here than a pale one.

  • On dark hair. Green adds a subtle shimmer at most. For visible results, you will need to lighten first with hair bleach and the appropriate peroxides and developers.

Pastels ask the most of the base. Sweet Mint and Mystical Mint both want hair lifted to a very light blonde, since they will not register on a darker shade.

Keeping Your Green Fresh for Longer

  • Step 1 - Wash with cool water. Heat opens the cuticle and releases colour, while cool water keeps it sealed.

  • Step 2 - Wash less often. Over-washing fades green faster. Two to three times a week is enough, and you can stretch the gaps with dry shampoo.

  • Step 3 - Use a colour-safe shampoo. Colour shampoo and sulphate free shampoo are gentler and help hold.

  • Step 4 - Apply a colour-depositing conditioner. A green-pigmented colour conditioner refreshes the tone between dye sessions and adds moisture.

  • Step 5 - Watch the pool. Chlorine strips green quickly and pulls the tone towards yellow as the blue washes out.

Why Professional Green Colour Is Worth It

Professional green dyes use more concentrated pigments that go on evenly and hold their intensity longer. They do not turn patchy or muddy as they fade, softening instead to a gentler shade over time. The formulas carry fewer drying agents, so hair holds up better through repeated applications.
