- Mixing: In a non-metallic bowl, mix the SoColor 508NA with 20 Volume Matrix Cream Developer in a 1:1 mixing ratio. (20 Volume is essential for the 500 series to ensure the cuticles of resistant gray hair are sufficiently opened for the cool pigments to anchor).
- Application: Apply to dry, unwashed hair. Start application at the root area where gray is most concentrated. The 508NA is specifically designed to provide a cool, matte medium blonde finish, preventing the "yellow-glow" often seen when covering gray at higher levels.
- Processing: Process at room temperature for 45 minutes. Do not use heat. Gray hair requires the full 45 minutes to allow the "Extra Coverage" technology to fully penetrate and prevent the ash tones from fading or turning "muddy."
- Rinse: Rinse thoroughly until the water runs clear. Shampoo and condition with a professional-grade color-safe system (like Matrix So Silver) to maintain the cool, natural ash reflect.
