- Mixing: In a non-metallic bowl, mix the SoColor 5N with Matrix Cream Developer (10, 20, 30, or 40 Volume) in a 1:1 mixing ratio. (20 Volume is the standard for 100% gray coverage).
- Application: Apply the mixture to dry, unwashed hair. The 5N provides a neutral, balanced base; it is ideal for clients who want a natural light brown result or for blending away gray hair without shifting the tone to warm or cool.
- Processing: Process at room temperature for 35 to 45 minutes. Do not use heat. Ambient air processing allows the Pre-Bonded formula to stabilize and the natural pigments to anchor deeply.
- Rinse: Rinse the hair thoroughly until the water runs clear. Shampoo and condition with a professional color-safe system to lock in the neutral light brown pigment.
