- Mixing: In a non-metallic bowl, mix the SoColor 5VR with Matrix Cream Developer (10, 20, 30, or 40 volume) in a 1:1 mixing ratio.
- Application: Apply the mixture to dry, unwashed hair. The 5VR is a "cool-dominant" red; it is ideal for creating deep plum or mahogany results. Ensure thorough saturation to allow the complex violet pigments to develop fully.
- Processing: Process at room temperature for 35 to 45 minutes. Do not use heat, as ambient air processing is necessary for the stability of the violet-red molecules and the Pre-Bonded technology.
- Rinse: Rinse the hair thoroughly with cool water to lock in the pigment. Shampoo and condition with a professional sulfate-free system (such as Matrix Keep Me Vivid) to protect the longevity of the violet reflect.
