To achieve optimal "Firm Options" results, begin by cleansing the hair with a non-conditioning shampoo and towel-blotting thoroughly before wrapping the hair on desired rods using a uniform, smooth tension to guarantee even curl formation; once wrapped, combine the Activator with the Waving Lotion and apply the mixture evenly to each rod, allowing it to process at room temperature for approximately 20 minutes (or as determined by a preliminary strand test) before rinsing the hair for at least five minutes with warm water. After rinsing, towel-blot each rod individually to remove all excess moisture and apply the Neutralizer for five minutes, then carefully remove the rods and rinse the hair again with cool water to lock in the new curl pattern and restore the hair's pH balance for a resilient, frizz-free finish.
