- Mixing: In a non-metallic bowl, mix the SoColor 505R with 20 Volume Matrix Cream Developer in a 1:1 mixing ratio. (20 Volume is mandatory for the 500 series to ensure the cuticles of resistant gray hair are opened sufficiently for the red pigments).
- Application: Apply to dry, unwashed hair. Start application where the gray is most prominent. The 505R provides a rich, warm red reflect with enough brown base to ensure 100% opacity on even the most stubborn white strands.
- Processing: Process at room temperature for 45 minutes. Do not use heat. Gray hair requires the full 45 minutes to allow the "Extra Coverage" pigments to fully anchor and prevent premature fading.
- Rinse: Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water. Shampoo and condition with a professional color-safe system to lock in the warm red tones.
