- Mixing: Mix the SoColor 509N with 20 Volume Matrix Cream Developer in a 1:1 mixing ratio. (20 Volume is the standard requirement for the Extra Coverage series to achieve proper penetration of the resistant gray hair cuticle).
- Application: Apply to dry, unwashed hair. Focus application on areas with the highest percentage of gray first. The 509N provides a neutral, natural-looking light blonde result that avoids the "translucent" or "hollow" look often seen when covering gray at level 9.
- Processing: Process at room temperature for a full 45 minutes. Do not use heat. The extended processing window is essential for the specialized high-load pigments to fully anchor within resistant hair fibers.
- Rinse: Rinse the hair thoroughly until the water runs completely clear. Shampoo and condition with a professional color-safe system (like Matrix Color Obsessed) to maintain the blonde’s depth and clarity.
