- Mixing: In a non-metallic bowl, mix the SoColor 510NA with 20 Volume Matrix Cream Developer in a 1:1 mixing ratio. (20 Volume is the standard requirement for the 500 series to ensure the dense cuticle of resistant gray hair is opened for pigment deposit).
- Application: Apply to dry, unwashed hair. Start application on the areas with the highest percentage of gray/white hair. The 510NA provides a cool, natural-ash light blonde finish, preventing the "canary yellow" or "hot root" effect often seen when lifting and covering gray simultaneously.
- Processing: Process at room temperature for a full 45 minutes. Do not use heat. The 45-minute processing time is essential for the Extra Coverage technology to fully saturate the hair fiber and provide long-lasting, opaque results.
- Rinse: Rinse thoroughly with cool to lukewarm water until the water runs clear. Shampoo and condition with a professional-grade color-safe system (like Matrix So Silver) to keep the ash tones crisp.
