- Heating: Place the Solid Gold Hot Wax into a professional wax heater. Heat until the wax reaches a smooth, honey-like consistency. Always patch test the temperature on the inside of your wrist before applying to the client.
- Preparation: Cleanse the area with a pre-wax lotion to remove surface oils and perspiration.
- Application: Using a disposable wooden spatula, apply a thick, even layer of wax in the direction of hair growth. Ensure you leave a slightly thicker "tab" or edge at the end of the patch for easy gripping.
- Removal: Allow the wax to set until it is firm but still flexible (not brittle). Hold the skin taut with one hand. Grip the thickened edge and pull the wax back quickly and firmly against the direction of hair growth, keeping the strip as close to the skin as possible.
- Post-Care: Apply an after-wax oil or cooling gel to remove any residue and soothe the follicles.
