Selecting a colour of bleach powder can be a difficult choice. Many hairdressers have their own preference when it comes to bleach. Some use one colour for any hair colour, while others change depending on the client. Blue bleach gives the best results when attempting to remove orange tones from the hair. The blue base helps to neutralise orange pigment, giving off an all-over nicer blonde. The violet based bleach helps to neutralise yellow tones from the hair. Used on already pre-lightened hair is said to give the best results. White bleach powder is commonly a favourite to use on any hair colour. The white base means you're able to easily watch the colour process unfold.
Hair Preservation While Using White Bleach Powder
Bleaching your hair is known to cause damage. It doesn't matter if you've done it yourself or if you're a professional. Dry, brittle and damaged hair is often a side effect of the bleaching process. To help mitigate the damage, try adding a bond builder to the mix. Some bleaches already come with it mixed in the formula or you can add separately. Additionally, post-treatment, use a conditioning mask on the hair. Preferably something with vitamin E or other healing nutrients for the best results. Furthermore, be mindful of the level peroxide you add to the mix. The higher the vol peroxide, the more damage it often causes. It's important to know the client's hair history prior to commencing the bleaching.
